I had a mixed experience at this park hotel. The location was fantastic with easy access to Lake Windermere, and I appreciated the clean and modern caravan we stayed in. However, I did encounter a few issues such as the internet not working at all, and I found some areas of the accommodation less than clean. A few more essentials would have been nice, but overall, it was still a decent getaway.

Rooms

The caravan was modern but had some cleanliness issues, including cobwebs and a few items left behind from previous guests.
Service

I had a couple of minor issues, but the service was responsive when we needed help with our gas problem, arriving within 20 minutes.
Location

The location is ideal, just a short drive from Bowness and in close proximity to stunning natural attractions.
Dining

We were self-catering with well-equipped kitchen facilities, but could have used more essentials like toilet paper.
Facilities

The park had plenty of options for outdoor activities and was very family-friendly, though I would have liked a few more amenities on-site.

The park hotel has a lovely, peaceful atmosphere that's perfect for relaxation. The accommodations were generally clean and well-equipped, which made for a comfortable stay. However, some issues with facilities and the surroundings detracted from the experience, especially regarding the unwelcome sewage smell. While I appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack and the friendly staff, I found the pricing a bit steep for what was offered.

Rooms

The accommodations were mostly clean and well-equipped, but the presence of hairs and a dingy back area made for an uncomfortable arrival. Overall, they seemed a bit misleading in terms of setup.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and quick to resolve issues, especially Angela who addressed our concerns effectively. However, communication after raising issues was lacking.
Location

The park is situated in a beautiful setting that's great for nature walks and exploring the Lake District. I appreciated the easy access to local shops, but it may not have much to offer in terms of nearby entertainment.
Dining
8.0
Self-catering was convenient, with a fully equipped kitchen. It allowed us to prepare our own meals comfortably.
Facilities

While the facilities were generally adequate, the unpleasant smell detracted from the overall experience, and I felt there could have been a bit more in terms of activities or amenities.

Our stay at Newby Bridge Country Caravan Park was delightful, especially in the accessible caravan which was well-equipped for our needs. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful, making it a perfect base for exploring the Lake District. The only downside was the mattress, which was not as comfortable as we’d hoped, but overall, it was an enjoyable experience that I would recommend.

Rooms
8.0
The accessible caravan was spacious and well-designed, offering easy maneuverability with lower kitchen sides and a wet room. However, the mattress was quite soft and uncomfortable for long sleeps.
Service

The team was incredibly responsive when we had a small issue with the gas. They were quick to assist, coming to our aid within 20 minutes, even outside of normal hours.
Location
9.0
The park is set within lovely woodland, offering a peaceful escape while still being conveniently close to necessary amenities, ensuring everything we needed was just a short walk away.
Dining
7.0
We were self-catering during our stay, but the local petrol station had a good supply of essentials, providing options for quick meals when needed.
Facilities
7.0
The park featured a playground and access to laundry facilities, but having more variety of on-site amenities would have enhanced our experience.

We experienced a mix of positives and negatives during our stay. The location was excellent for exploring the local attractions, and the accommodations were clean, but they felt cramped, particularly for our family. We faced several maintenance issues that impacted our comfort, and the kitchen lacked essential equipment. Overall, while we appreciated some aspects, there were definitely areas that require improvement.

Rooms

The accommodations were clean but felt quite cramped for our family of four, especially given that there were several maintenance issues like a broken cupboard handle and appliances that didn’t work properly.
Service

The service was decent, with the staff being helpful when we raised issues, but we felt it could have been more attentive in addressing some ongoing problems.
Location
8.0
The location was very convenient for visiting the Windermere area, though it was a bit noisy due to close proximity to a busy road.
Dining

Dining was self-catering, and while we were prepared for it, it would have been nice to have better kitchen facilities.
Facilities

The facilities were lacking in essential items. We faced issues with kitchen equipment, and some amenities were not up to standard.

We had a lovely time staying at the cabin, which was well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The personal touch with the welcome pack made us feel right at home. However, we did experience some issues with the facilities that could be improved. Overall, it’s a great choice for a cozy getaway, especially for families and those traveling with pets.

Rooms
9.0
The cabin was extremely clean and well-furnished, with high-quality fixtures and fittings. The only downside was the absence of a washing machine, but there were laundry facilities available on-site.
Service
9.0
The service was excellent with warm hospitality and attention to detail. The team communicated well and addressed our needs promptly.
Location
10.0
The location was fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions and a peaceful atmosphere that enhanced our relaxation.
